Amber is an educator with over a decade of experience in the field. Amber has facilitated learning in various settings including secondary schools, universities, and corporate settings. She has taught various English courses in the United States and the United Arab Emirates. Amber is also a highly experienced learning designer and curriculum developer, with experience leading digital course development for K-12 students and adult professionals. Amber graduated with a master’s degree in Teacher Leadership with an Advanced Instruction focus from the University of Southern California. Amber is pursuing a Doctorate of Education with the Institute of Education at University College London. 

Amber’s experience in training and teaching in various multicultural institutions and corporate environments has resulted in her commitment to student-centred learning and engaging learning experiences. She enjoys creating and facilitating culturally relevant and empowering learning experiences in multicultural spaces. Amber believes in the power of relationships and authentic connection in learning. With her research, Amber seeks to celebrate diverse voices, while simultaneously supporting the development of critical and creative thinking and language learning.

Amber's research interests lie in investigating innovative strategies to enhance student engagement in English language classrooms, focusing on integrating digital media, art, storytelling, and community engagement. Employing interdisciplinary and participatory research methods, she delves into the intersection of identity, culture, and language within multicultural and multilingual educational settings. Amber is particularly intrigued by the potential of creative co-creation to bolster literacy skills and foster authentic diversity appreciation among English language learners. Through her work, she aims to amplify learner agency and promote a more inclusive and transformative educational experience.
