Career Support After You Graduate
At DMU Dubai, we are focussed on helping our students become adaptable for a fast-changing world. A DMU degree means getting access to experiences that will take you to new places, introduce you to people in successful careers and open up new horizons.
Our teaching and research are closely connected with the world outside university. Your course will give you the chance to meet people from relevant organisations, take part in projects with business and develop your own ideas for innovations in the way we live and work, whatever your academic interests.
Alongside your course, we offer a huge range of co-curricular workshops, boot camps, work experience opportunities, employability sessions, and learning from insights and career stories of industry speakers and DMU alumni.

Our strong relationships with businesses and our own alumni are an integral part of students’ learning, bringing experts into the teaching space to set real-world project briefs and challenges.

The Careers Team Digital brings an extensive new range of online resources to help DMU students plan and practise for their career in a digital age.
Through the Careers Team, you can upload your CV and receive feedback for making improvements. Students can measure their career readiness at any time using a short self-access survey and receive personalised recommendations for building their employability.
A vast library of online resources includes regularly updated videos from key recruiters and the opportunity to take part in realistic interview simulations. As you would expect, you can book one-to-one careers appointments and use our systems to browse internships, job vacancies and placements.
All DMU students can also access a vast library of professional training resources available through LinkedIn Learning, just by logging in with their DMU password.
Career Features
As a DMU student you remain part of the DMU family forever. We continue to provide career development activities and support to all our graduates as part of our flagship programme, DMUforlife. Opportunities are available to you including paid internships, network events, recruitment fairs, access to online resources, expert 1-1 and group guidance sessions.
Careers Team International
International students who come to DMU are all offered expert advice and support by our dedicated Careers Team. We are here to ensure students maximise their potential and can help you gain exposure to the UK employment market.
We have partnerships with some of the biggest and best local and national organisations in the UAE and abroad, to create unique opportunities which will help develop your career and take you further.
Many of our international students are looking for work experience in the UAE. There are many ways in which the Careers Team can help international students. We are here to support you in this through a variety of ways, including:- Access to our mentoring scheme and Careers Coaches.

As an international student, you will gain access to not only our network of employer contacts, but also our alumni.

Our international alumni network is vast, generous, and well-connected, with members based around the globe. This means that, whether you wish to stay in the UAE or return to your home country once you graduate, our alumni networks will be there for you.
